Back in Liverpool
Uncategorized February 15th, 2007Hola. We arrived back in Liverpool safely and were met by lots of parents and grandparents at the airport. I’m sure by now you will already have heard lots of stories of activites and events and friendships but there are, I’m sure lots more to come. So much happenend in such a short time.
The Director of San Ildefonso has asked us to pass on a letter and it can be viewed by clicking on the link.

The spanish parents were delighted to be hosts and in many cases you already know of their warm feelings but we just want to pass on their very kind comments…….which were many. There were quite a lot of tears at our farewell.
Green Park children left a deep impression on everyone they met in Spain for being great children. For us it was summed up our guide in the Royal Palace on the final day. She said, as our tour was just coming to the end, how she had taken many groups of children, but the behaviour and sense of curisoity that our group of children showed was excellent.
We would like to say that our own stay was made so enjoyable by the brilliant staff at the school - who made us so welcome - and the parents …………everything was just delightful!
We have hundreds (or is it thousands of photographs?) and the uploading process is just about to begin but to get them all in is going to take a little while!

This is only a quick note……the next job I have to do is get the fan belt on my car fixed………we broke down on our way home…….so Mr and Mrs Hewer and Mr and Mrs Rafferty & spent a lovely Valentine’s evening in a quiet, romatic spot on the hardshoulder of the M57…………..and who says the girls don’t get treated well.

The Davies family would like to say a huge thank you to all involved in the exchange.
Thank you to all the staff at San Ildefonso who worked so hard to ensure that the childrens visit to Madrid would be a memorable one by arranging so many fantastic trips/visits. Thank you so much, Paul will never forget this experience.
Thank you to all the staff and party members from Green Park who escorted the children to Madrid. Thank you for keeping our children safe, ensuring their well being and giving up your own time, a precious commodity these days!
thank you to all the parents in Madrid who enabled this exchange to happen but especially Elena, Angel, Gonzalo & Diego Sanchez Alonso, a wonderful family. You made Paul so very welcome and afforded him so many unforgettable memories.
